The memorial site is located in the heart of the reserve. At the entrance to the site are several wooden signs with memorial details, the unit’s emblem, a site map, and memorial stones: metal signs scattered throughout the area, each sign containing details of several fallen soldiers. The memorial stones surround the amphitheatre at the centre of the reserve, with tables and benches in between. Next to the signs is a curved and winding stone wall, with a sign in front bearing the name of the place, and at its centre, a basalt rock with the unit’s emblem in golden metal. Through the initiative of the Binder team, we have coded each of the monuments with a scannable code leading to landing pages for the fallen, in collaboration with the Life Cloud website. Through these sites, one can learn more about the fallen, read about them, watch videos, and light a memorial candle.
