Combat Resilience Retreats In Israel and Abroad

In Israel

Egoz unit soldiers and veterans alike, grapple with the enduring effects of combat in their daily routines. In an effort to assist them in navigating the traumatic aftermath of warfare, our organisation orchestrates group excursions led by trained therapists. Spanning three days and nestled in a tranquil setting far removed from their usual environment, these expeditions are designed to immerse participants in resilience-building practices. The itinerary features engaging activities such as group discussions, alternative therapies, and collaborative team-building exercises. These journeys serve as a sanctuary where every team member is encouraged to open up about their experiences, fostering a supportive environment where they can express themselves and receive tailored assistance.

Abroad

Egoz combatants grapple with the enduring effects of combat in their everyday lives. In response to this challenge, our organisation coordinates group retreats led by expert therapists to aid in processing the traumatic aftermath of warfare. Spanning 7 days, these immersive journeys take place in serene locations far from the distractions of daily life, concentrating on instilling and honing resilience-building techniques. The itinerary comprises interactive sessions, holistic therapies, and collaborative activities geared towards fostering cohesion within the group. By offering a secure environment for open dialogue, these retreats serve as a vital avenue for each team member to share their stories and access tailored support in navigating their combat experiences.

With your help, we can bring them back “home”.

Lone Soldiers

Soldiers serving in Egoz come from various corners of the globe, including Russia, Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, and beyond, united to protect Israel. These dedicated soldiers arrive in Israel with a deep-rooted love for the country and its people. While diligently carrying out their military duties side by side with their fellow unit members, Shabbat and Holidays present a unique challenge. While their comrades return to the comfort of their homes, lone soldiers find themselves without a similar haven that make these periods feel isolating and challenging

Understanding the need for companionship and support, many lone soldiers opt to reside together in shared apartments. To provide a sense of belonging and comfort, we offer assistance through foundation apartments in central Tel Aviv, ensuring these young soldiers have a welcoming space to call home away from home.

Scholarship

Through the Scholarship Program, individual soldiers and those requiring financial aid, receive educational support from the foundation. In exchange for this assistance, veterans contribute volunteer hours at the foundation, perpetuating the cycle of generosity. The proverb “Give a man a fish, and he won’t starve for one day; teach him to fish, and he won’t know starvation for his whole life” encapsulates the ethos of empowering individuals through education and self-sufficiency
